As you already know, the world is a very ignorant place. People assume that because you have God with you, you will not face opposition. The fact of the matter is BECAUSE you have God + the favor of God on your life, you are more susceptible to danger. Hence the title of this post, “The Path To Purpose Leads To Danger”. That is probably the truest statement I have ever written. Join me on this journey as I explain why your path to success will always lead you into the lion’s den.
My Pastor always talks about how walking out your purpose or destiny will get you into trouble. When you are fulfilling the vision God has set before you, the enemy sets up roadblocks to throw you off. Pause for a second. Think about it, God’s plan for your life is to be fruitful + multiply. With that comes sooo many benefits- both spiritual + physical. You get the finances, the recognition, the overwhelming sensation of seeing your dreams fulfilled, AND you get the friendship of The Lord. And in order to receive all those divine assets, you have to possess a specific persona. With the knowledge that God is with you, I am sure you’re Christ-like. Christ-like people have a very contagious, loving spirit + causes everyone around them to become infected with positivity, as well. All that positivity is the enemy’s nightmare. *Presses the play button* So why wouldn’t the enemy try to take you off course? God completing His work in you causes strife to the devil, + interrupts his plans of destruction. Walking in your destiny means that you are usually unbothered by the nay-sayers. My pastor refers to the story of Joseph in the bible where his father gave him a coat of many colors when Joseph returned home. My pastor says the coat of many colors may appear to be a certain color when you look at it from one angle, but looks totally different from another. He mentions that it represents people not being able to figure you out. As I talked about in my video, people get REAL uncomfortable when they cannot put you in a box.
I have personally experienced this type of backlash. Recently, actually. Anyone who know me knows that I am the Queen of “Staying In My OWN Lane”. Always have, + always will. So, as I was on my red carpet (I call my path to success my red carpet *insert hair flip here*) Growing up I have always been really responsible, + made decisions in that mind space. Thankfully, God blessed me with wisdom at a very young age. Because of that I have invariably gained the support of my friends, family, + loved ones. That being said, I never had to deal with the doubt or the strife of others. That was until next week, when someone who barely knows me verbally attacked me. I was attacked by her + her friend (whom I don’t know at all) because they did not understand my vision. They were very disrespectful + spit on all my dreams + aspirations. That situation allowed me to realize not to tell your dreams to everyone. They will throw them right in your face, especially because they are too big to comprehend. I was really surprised at my behavior, though. I kept my cool the entire time. I felt that some form of attack was coming because I have been high off of life for several days. To hear what opportunity placed me on cloud 9, click here. With roses comes thorns, + with flowers grow weeds. Basically, negativity comes when wonderful things are thriving. So, to me, it was bound to happen. Like I said, I felt it prior to the attack, which allowed time to communicate with God about it beforehand. I had to ask Him to keep me, + to allow myself to think of what Jesus would do in my situation. Thank God I had the heads-up so I can pray because He truly kept me. I never came out of character, not once. I never even raised my voice. I have never encountered such an attack. She literally came at every single dream I shared with her, + spoke negatively about it. She even said she’s not going to watch my videos because she doesn’t think I am doing anything special + my videos aren’t that great. I was completely unbothered by their comments, for I knew what God has spoken to me + what vision He gave me. Their remarks were just preparing me for the nay-sayers I will encounter when I am a YouTube sensation. *Insert another hair flip here*
Moral of the story, keep doing your thing. Prepare to fight for the vision God gave you, no matter what. Opposition will strike, + persecution is definitely possible. While there will always be giants + mountains for your to conquer, understand God has preordained you to win. You were created to overcome whatever comes against you. Please don’t be naïve thinking your are exempt from issues or doubters while living out your destiny. Know that danger lurks around the corner simply because you are walking on your “red carpet”. Take comfort in knowing Jesus will NEVER leave nor forsake you. Until next time, love yourself. Love God, first. Stand firm in what you believe in, + be prepared to fight for it! Peace!
