Defy your ODDS in your life

Dear readers,

Have you ever felt like in life, there has been so much odds against you? You feel so overwhelmed to give up, so discouraged in your mind to not contract negative words and reports spoken over you blocking you from stepping and soaring into your purpose?

I have learnt that, people’s opinions, negative words and even doctors reports does not define my future or my outcome as a whole! 21 years ago I was born weighing only one pound 4 ounces, less than a bag of sugar and was the size of my father’s hand. Doctors told my parents I had zero to five percent chance of survival to live, said I would be blind and brain damaged.

It was an intense five months, for my parents watching me fight for my life! My mother always tells me, they witnessed this one negative health consultant who spoke negatively over my heart rate, whilst I was fighting for my life. As a matter of fact she actually told my parents if my heart rate went down, she would not revive me. But my mother said YES you will! Instantly that negative word she spoke over my heart rate immediately made my eyes roll back and my heart rate go down rapidly and I was dying in front of my parents.

My parents then asked her to leave and placed their hands on my incubator, began to pray to God and speak life back into me that I would live. As soon as they done that my heart rate went back up and within a few weeks I made progress, my mom prayed to God to remove that consultant that was always speaking negative over my progress and she left and the right consultants came and gave me the extra care I needed and then after a long five months the time came where I finally could go home.

I’m saying this to encourage someone not to give up! You have the power to speak LIFE back into your situations. Whether it be health, financial or family. My parents could’ve easily chose to stand there and watch me die in front of their eyes but they chose to speak and pray LIFE back into me, even if the odds were so much against me during that intense moment. I am thankful to say I survived, healthy and not brain damaged or blind! Moreover I now have recently graduated, from a university with a Business Management Degree, soon to release my first book entitled ‘My Journey Of Hope’ in the late summer and have now become a motivational speaker sharing my story where ever I go!

I wanted you to know that if I can defy the odds against me so can you! Keep fighting, keep strong and know that you can rise above any situation because you’re an over-comer!
