How To Increase Confidence (Or Portray It)
So, lets get straight to the point. Sometimes You just don’t feel like a boss.
You Should.
But, man, sometimes that just feels like the furthest possible outcome from my reality.
And its natural! Highs & Lows. When your up, everything and anything seems possible. When your low, its almost like you were never, ever a winner. (Even though thats a blatant LIE)
So, how do I cope with this crazy up and down madness that is day-to-day life? (Even more so, a teenage girls life!)
Living a life in contrast; intense, crazy and sudden emotions vs. logic, society and reality.
It can get treacherous. But do not fear! There is an EASY way out of this vicious cycle.
Being yourself. Through and through from your hair, outfit and friends, to your core values, words, and decisions. Stay true to this, and you’ll discover so much about yourself, and your life.
I know its easy to sit back and type away about loving life, being confident, and loving yourself; But I’m here to really help you kick it all into action.
If you are in a place where being confident in yourself feels like a stretch or a chore, don’t worry,I have been there. It can be so damn hard.
But, I am a firm believer that repeated action/thought (whether you mean it or not) creates habits, and once habits become second nature its not that much more of a leap to real, genuine confidence. So, if you struggle with being confident, don’t fret! All you need is a little practice.
How To Portray Confidence:
Spend focused time on yourself
Make it part of your weekly rituals. Time to sit in your room and write, or play music, or sing, or dance, or solve math equations, or go surfing, or skate, ect.
Find YOUR niche.
Because when you know yourself really well, you can then show others who you are, and whether they like you or not; you like you, and you are you, no matter what. And thats all that matters.
Good Posture
I realized this when my friend said I looked a grandma the way I was sitting… but I was sitting how I always sit.
So, I began to realize how crappy my posture was. And its probably because during that time, I felt like I was a grandma, lol.
But, just slightly adjusting your posture can actually make you feel more sophisticated, more put together, and all together more confident! Shoulders back, head held high, how can you NOT feel like a warrior princess walking into battle.
Okay, thats dramatic. But it works!
Your Voice Is Needed, So Let It Be Heard
Have you ever held back your opinion during a conversation purely because you afraid your ideas were to “out there”?
Or withheld speaking your true feelings out of fear that the other person would retaliate?
Me to!
But, in true confidence, your words, thoughts and ideas are VALID and worth something. So treat them them like they are! Speak up when you disagree, and maybe start a totally new conversation.
Words are powerful.
More powerful than we give credit.
Think about it, if YOU don’t get your ideas out there, then how ever will your dreams come true?
When you don’t say something you wish you had, you’ll feel it. So, just take that stress off, and be yo’self girl!
